Adam's Graduation

On September 20 Adam graduated from College! Yay!! He graduated with his Bachelors in Construction Management, and I am just so proud of him. He is just so smart & motivating to me! & of course, he is already talking about going back from his Masters. What an overachiever! :)

** After the ceremony we had a little get together at my parents house, which was fun!

This was another fun thing that I made for my Dad for his birthday, well with my Mom's help. My dad is known for always saying "Life is tough, then you die." So I figured that it would make for a perfect cake for his birthday!! :) I am very proud of this!

So Adam and I have been really into watch the 'Food Network Channel' lately. We didn't really realize our obsession until on Sunday when I decided to bake some cookies and Adam volunteered to help, that it truly came out. I was just baking normal chocolate chip cookies, since they are my forte, when Adam asked what over interesting ingredients we were adding since chocolate chops are "boring." So we divided the dough in half so he could make his own bizarre cookies and mine would still be delicious. When he started naming random ingredients he could put in, such as, 'chili powder, lemon zest, orange zest, oregano, and coconut,' I could clearly tell he had never baked before. So when he then he decided on putting butterscotch chips with lemon zest in his dough, I was actually impressed. But when he said that his were going to be better than mine (which is impossible), we turned it into a competition.

I beat Adam by seven points! Although, Kristen did practically give me perfect scores, and if you take your our of the running then Adam and I would have tied. But I used Kristen as an advantage for me. So I won!!

However, next week will probably be new cookies for a bake off since Adam will want to redeem himself...

.. oh well I still won!! :)

Last week Heather and Hunter came to visit! It was so much fun being able to spend time with them! Hunter is getting so old and he is so incredibly adorable. I can't wait to go up to Utah in October and be able to see them again and also be able to see David and his family. I feel like it has been such a long time since we have seen them! But I am so excited to see them nonetheless.

Then the Saturday after Heather and Hunter left. Adam and I went down with my parents and Kristen to go to Brocks baby blessing and Kadens birthday party. We had such a fun time down there. Especially spending time with Spencer and Sunny & their adorable kids. It was so cute to see Adam with Brock. And I changed my first diaper in years. It was quite a productive trip! :) I am so glad that they live so close and can visit often.

Other than that, I am getting tired of working Sundays and working in the atmosphere that I am in currently. So I am looking for work elsewhere. I had an interview yesterday and will find out in seven to ten days, so I am hoping for the best. That way I will not have to work Sundays and be able to spend more time with Adam. I can't wait to actually spend time with the hubby!

Welcome Baby Brock!!!

Hey Guys!
So I know that I dont update this often, its just all Adam & I do is work, work & work... well and some school for him! Luckily, in August he is going to graduate! Yay for him! I am so proud of him! He is smart & I am lucky to have him.
Adam is part of a group at his work called "NextGen," which is for the new generation of workers at APS (his work) for networking and getting exposed to all parts of his work. So during the last weekend of June, while everyone else was able to go to the family reunion, he went to Flagstaff and were this group competed in a softball tournament.. sadly.. they lost all three games.

Then as you all know Brock Christian Ray, was born! So last Thursday, Kristen & I drove down to see him! Soooo precious!!!

Wow, we have an exciting life.... not....

So, wow nothing new has really happened to us lately. Adam was lucky enough to receive a higher position through APS, and is now a 'Project Manager 1,' he seems to be busier than ever, and work more, but we are very grateful for this blessing and opportunity! As for me, I am still just working and trying to enjoy that (aside from the annoying girls, lack of clients and the fact that I cant quit for another 13 months, but hey.. who is counting!)
Lets see, in April, I went to Oregon to go to Micaelas wedding! It was so much fun seeing everyone, and being able to be with my family in the Temple.

then, later that month we went down to Yuma, to a golf tournment. Each year Adam's parents put together a golf tournment for the Boys & Girls Club. So we went down and had tons of fun at that!

Other than that, not much else has happened. Just enjoying the married life..

So sorry it has been so long since I have updated. I have decided its kinda hard to update when you dont have any kids to post kids things about. Someday! So anyways, whats been new with us? Lets see, I recently got a job at a salon called Madison Avenue! & I love it! Everyone that I work with is so sweet and not catty at all (which I was worried about) Sadly though the same week that I started my job, Adam found out that his whole department is going to be laid off, so as of April 9th, Adam will be unemployed. But he is applying for some jobs within the company he is working with currently, and then will apply elsewhere just to be safe. I found it somewhat ironic because I finally thought the economy was doing a little better and felt fortunate that it hadnt affected us, but guess what?! I was wrong. Oh well, we will figure it out. Other than that nothing else is really happening with us. Just enjoying being married! I hope that you all are doing great! and Love you all!!
