Brody + Emma

Brody is obsessed with Emma. Emma is obsessed with Brody. These obsessions make my life perfect. I have never seen such joy then when these kids are together!  Each morning Brody wakes up and first thing he does is runs and gives Emma a hug and kiss. Then she smiles and laughs. Every morning and after each nap time. It is like they haven't seen each other in months.

This is first thing in the morning when they see each other.

 

He loves to share with her.

 

They love to hold hands :)

 

He loves to push her in the stroller.

Even during tummy time, he is be her side.

 

He reads her books.

 

If she is on the couch he will come and sit by her. Of course, she smiles.

 

Happy baby doesn't even begin to describe how happy she is.

 

She will always be watching him.

                                   I love that it is easier to get her attention than a two year old.

 

Even laying in bed together is fun!

Cute things Brody says to her:

When we are in the car and she gets fussy - "Emma, it's ok! It's ok! I love you. Look for choo choos and trees."

"Where is my princess?!?"

"Hi pookie pookie!"

"You are pretty!"

"Emma is so silly."

"My Emma!"

"I want to kiss my pookie."

"Emma you're MY sister!!"

Every where we go Brody has to show off his sister to everyone. Most of the time she is sleeping but he will open the shade on the car seat so that everyone will see her. They have the sweetest relationship!

I was very nervous about how I was going to be with two kids. Mostly, because I had so much fun with Brody and it was always him and I.  I was nervous that I would have that 'favorite' kid and that Brody would not get along with her. But wow was I wrong. In so very many ways. First of all, I LOVE how love is so unconditional. How the moment Emma was born I was overwhelmed with such immense love for her! I did not have to worry about having a favorite because they are both so perfect to me. I love that I get to be with them all the time and when they are sleeping I just want to wake them up to play. But I also love Brody's obsession with her!! Every morning when he wakes up he run right to her to give her a hug and kiss and then repeatedly says how much he loves her. Whenever we go places he always has to show people his sissy and will say, 'look! my sissy is so cute!' and will continue to say it until the people stop and look at her. He is so in love with her. If she is ever crying he will get her pacifier, a new diaper or sing to her. Whatever she needs. Plus, it is so sweet to see how much Emma needs Brody. I swear every time I have her attention and she is smiling at me, Brody will walk in the room and she will just light up and look all over for her. He can get in her face and she does not even care. Always smiles when he is near. They are so amazing to me and perfect! I love spending everyday with them!!

Brodys Birthday

I love birthdays! I love making them a special day for the person whose birthday it is and just having fun! That is why I love having kids!! I can plan fun things to do with them and they love it!!  On Brodys birthday we went to zoo with Heather and her boys, Kristen and my mom. It was such a fun day at the zoo. After the zoo we went to Peter Piper Pizza and ate pizza and played.

Then that weekend we had a little birthday party for him! We had a blow up house, swam and had pizza and broccoli (his favorite food!) I love having so much family close by so that my kids can grow up with lots of friends and people that he can always depend on. So thank you everyone for coming out and celebrating!
